My secret weapon…. the πππΌπ πΏππππ! Listen, a good wrap dress is a must have staple in the wardrobe for sizes 10 and UP! β£ Fun Fact: Diane von Furstenberg is credited with creating the iconic wrap dress in 1974. It’s a dress made of often colorful and elaborately patterned jersey material that wraps around the body. There is a good read on the history of the wrap dress in Marie Claire.

β£In my opinion the wrap dress is by far the most flattering style for all body types. It accentuates the waist and bust, helps hide the bulges and creates curves where they are lacking. This is especially important for us trying to disguise that stubborn pudge or wanting to show off that small waist making its way back home. β£

I love the versatility of the style and how it can work seasonally. You can do tube or sleeveless in the summer all the way to a sweater wrap dress in the winter. Fabric choices for the wrap dress are unlimited to include flowy material with a beautiful drape to faux leather that hugs and smooths with ease. There are so many colors and lengths available making it possible to incorporate this style in your wardrobe all year round!

Some of my favorite stores to shop on trend wrap dresses for full figured women are all online as well! (Target, Boohoo, Nasty Gal, Missguided, Forever 21, Zara, Nordstrom Rack, Pretty Little Thing, ASOS, H&M and more.)

I absolutely love the way a wrap dress compliments my body. It provides generous coverage of my breasts promoting a lift with the crisscross design all while cinching at my waist. The wrap dress then provides a forgiving drape over my hips creating the desirable hourglass effect.
