Disaya is now a TWEEN!!! Can you really believe it, I have a middleschooler? OMG!
While Disaya visited her Dad over the summer, I took the opportunity to REVAMP her bedroom. I believe a child’s space plays an important role in promoting positive well being and maximum productivity. I wanted her to have a space that she could be proud of the truly represents her style and personality. The goal was to give her room a budget friendly facelift.
It’s amazing what a coat of paint and rearranging furniture can do for a space.
Before Pictures:

Disaya’s room is more on the small side compared to what she isused to, so I purchased her a loft bed to maximize space and give her a bed and desk in one.
Everything Out! After clearing the room, painting began.
Her new favorite color is yellow (yes it changes often lol). I wanted to brighten her room, so I chose yellow as the accent wall and a light grey for the other walls.
After Pictures:

These gave the space the modern flair and was a huge space saver by getting rid of the bookcase.

I wanted to create gallery walls in her room as well full of words of affirmations and motivational quotes.

Changed out her rug and comforter set using a combination of her other favorite colors to create a soft tween vibe.

I went with a texture window treatment to add a fun element. It’s amazing I was able to find a curtain that fit the color palate and theme of the room perfectly.

I added a flush chandelier that gave a ton of light and added glam character to the space.

Of course, I hung a mirror because what middle school girl doesn’t need a mirror?

Color is fun and I believe I totally took her room from blah to FAB!
