How To DIY Your Patio Revamp

Hi you guys!!!!

I finally finished my patio, I’d like to refer to as my outdoor living oasis!   Living in a home that has outdoor living space is truly a luxury for me because it adds space to our floor plan!   I’m still embarrassed that we’ve lived here four years and are just now getting around to making the patio area a space we can enjoy.

BEFORE

We are lucky to have purchased a home that already had the build out for a covered patio with ample space.   I know that in the new home building process, this is an extra expense, so some opt out without considering the long term benefits.

BEFORE PIC

I would love to take this moment to share a gem I found in the local Atlanta area. Brazilian Wood Depot offers top of the line options for patio and deck renovations!   Check out their wide range of options including purpleheart decking which is one of their hardest woods in the world with distinct purple color and one you’re friends and neighbors will enjoy!   Check them out as you plan you’re outdoor revamp.

SCOPE OF DESIGN

I’ve been obsessed with all things BoHo Chic with a clean palate, tons of greenery and natural woods. I’m working to make this decor preference the vibe for my entire home.

‍LIGHTING

The first step was switching out the god awful dim light, that did absolutely nothing for the space, with a cool outdoor ceiling fan I found from Lowe’s!

Ceiling Fan Details- This was a clutch purchase because it allowed us to have more light and a FAN that keeps us cool during the summer and the bugs at bay. It even has a remote control to change the lighting color and fan speed.

‍FLOORING

I wanted a large area rug to cover enough space to change the view of the ground.   I went with a 8×10 size to achieve this! (Rug Details)

FURNITURE

I wanted a dining style patio so I went with a family style table with a natural wood finish!   Best Choice Products 6-Person… (Table Details)   I’m literally obsessed with this table!   It was the perfect touch!   I paired it with four chairs I had from our previous table set, and added two decorative pillows.

If you follow me on IG then you know o purchased a new grill and I’ve been throwing DOWN!   Yes be prepared for a Grill friendly e-book soon!   We took the big leap from a charcoal grill to a gas grill and I know to some this isn’t ideal but the convenience works for us! (Grill Details)

I knew I wanted to add greenery so I went with a large fern and a plant inside of a macrame hanging planter.   I placed them specifically over one another to make a bold statement.

I don’t have neighbors to my right, but I do to my left and although my neighborhood is quiet you can never have too much privacy.   I purchased a screen that allows privacy between us. (Screen Details)

EASY TO INSTALL

I love a good tablescape and finished my design off with wooden neutrals.   I purchased the placemats and plates from Ross and I had the chargers from hobby lobby.   I found the lanterns at Ross as well and it just heightened my outdoor chic approach.

I also found the perfect portable speaker that has the best sound and quality.   Super affordable as well and allows us to keep the mood.   OontZ Angle 3 (3rd Gen) -… (Portable Speaker Details)

I’m beyond pleased and hope that this inspires you to finish or start your outdoor space as well.   We enjoy meals out here now and spend much more quality time with each other.

I feel so accomplished considering that finishing this space was on my vision board for this year and here we are!  ‍
