Brioche French Toast with Cinnamon Apple Syrup

  • Brioche loaf
  • Eggs (4)
  • Heavy cream (1/2 cup)
  • Cinnamon (1/4 cup)
  • Salt (2 tsp)
  • Vanilla extract (4 tbsp)

Apple Syrup

  • Butter (1 stick)
  • Apples (2)
  • Lemon juice (3 tbsp)
  • Water (1/3 cup)
  • Salt (1 tsp)
  • Sugar (1/2 cup)


  • Sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar



Slice the brioche loaf into 2 inch slices

Slice the apples

Mix together eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, vanilla extract, salt. Preheat pan with canola oil coating. Dip the brioche slices in the mixture covering both sides and edges. Place into pan and cook each side 3-4 minutes.

In a small sauce pan place butter and apple slices let cook 2-3 mins then add sugar, lemon juice, water and salt… a little cinnamon for coloring. Let cook off until the consistency is thick resembling syrup stirring occasionally.

Top French toast with the apple syrup, sliced almonds and sprinkle powered sugar.
